Senior Developer, Authentication Core Services, Helsinki/Oulu (2 Positions) 

We are looking for two experienced Senior Developers to join our team. In this role, you’ll have a direct impact on architectural decisions and system integration solutions. Your focus will be on the development and maintenance of our Identification tribe's systems, ensuring seamless integration across various platforms. 

About the team and the role 

Authentication Core Services team has a clear mission: to provide reliable, high performance and secure identification and access management solutions for digital services, created by OP business units. The team comprises 10 experienced developers. 

As a Senior Developer, you’ll take charge of system integration, making sure that development meets architectural standards and non-functional requirements. You’ll actively participate in designing the implementation architecture, manage dependencies, and maintain the overall integrity of the system landscape. 

Your daily work will involve close collaboration with key stakeholders, including the Product Owner, System Product Owner, and Lead Developer. Together, you’ll shape the overall system architecture and ensure that the solutions meet OP's requirements while delivering optimal results. 

The position is based in either Helsinki or Oulu, and offers a flexible work arrangement, with a mix of office and remote work inside Finnish boarders. Our team has people around Finland but we have agreed on a bi-weekly office day in Helsinki. 

Key Qualifications 

We’re looking for candidates with a solid background in software development and hands-on experience in your specialized areas of architecture and technology. The role emphasizes deep understanding and practical expertise in working with complex system architectures, integrations, and cloud technologies, such as Azure. 

We hope you have skills and experience in the following areas: 

• Extensive experience in Java development (e.g., Java 21, Spring Boot 3, or equivalent). 
• Strong background in backend development. 
• Experience with system architecture and integration in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). 
• Familiarity with authentication and identification technologies (IAM, JWT, OIDC, PKI, HSM, KSM, etc.). 
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, test automation, and DevOps practices. 
• Good communication skills in English
