This summer OP Financial Group will offer a variety of exciting positions for hundreds of future professionals to come and develop their skills with the support of our experts and to gain valuable work experience in Finland’s leading financial group. We are looking for summer trainees in different stages of the studies to work in different business segments across the country. 

A few words about the job:

We are looking for summer trainees to work at OP Financial Group’s Development and Technologies organization in Helsinki. Development and Technologies develops services and systems for other segments within OP Financial Group and for OP Financial Group's customers. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated future technology experts to join our teams! You get the chance to work with some of the latest technologies in AI/Data Science and apply them to solve tangible real-world problems or work together with our experienced developers, participating in different stages of software development.

We also hope that you communicate fluently in English.

Here are examples of our summer trainee positions that do not require Finnish language skills:

• Test Engineer
• Developer

Please specify in your application letter which technologies you are already familiar with and let us know about your previous experience with them. Typically, we have summer trainees working from May to September. Please let us know the time period you can work full time during the summer.

What we expect from you?

There are many educational backgrounds that suit the role. You may study Programming or Information Technology for example. Previous work experience or a hobby that supports the technologies we use and experience with programming (e.g. React, Python, AWS, Scala, Azure Ruby & JavaScript) is considered as an advantage. Knowledge of different models and practices of testing (e.g. exploratory testing, agile testing, test automation) is also beneficial.

Most importantly we hope that you are self-driven and solution oriented and that you have good teamwork and interaction skills. You are fascinated by the financial world and want to constantly learn and develop yourself while our experienced colleagues support your growth. 

You will work daily with what is most important and valuable to us, our customers and our staff. That is why we expect you to have a positive and goal-oriented attitude and a desire to provide great customer service both internally and externally.
