Are you a bright Lead Developer, who has the technical and insurance business acumen in Guidewire + insurance business and products with the personality to develop, design, architect, and inspire? Have you led or supported overseas dev teams before? If you have insurance-know-how plus desire and ability to drive an exciting GW transformation project tech-wise, please keep on reading!
WHAT WE HOPE FROM YOU? You are an experienced Guidewire Architect / Developer, with experience especially in Guidewire Policy Center and Claim Center. You are willing to mentor and coach others and lead the technical vision and technical work.
WHAT IS THE ROLE LIKE? You are designing and architecting solutions, implementing software and driving the development in a team, participating in hands-on implementation of GW configurations and integrations.
GUIDEWIRE SKILLS NEEDED? Guidewire transformation program and platform level understanding: architecture best-practices of implementations 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Guidewire domain, and you are a certified Guidewire professional.
TECH SKILLS? Java and GW GOSU, AWS/Azure cloud experience, containers, Rest APIs or Kafka integrations, and overall the modern software automation and DevOps toolchain. Great if you also have hands-on experience with the Guidewire Cloud environment.
LOCATION? We expect on-site presence in our Helsinki main office, but we combine flexible office and remote working days. Note however, that our remote work policies allow working within Finland. In case needed, we can help you with relocating to Finland.

At OP Insurance domain we have been doing something big for a while already: a large platform transformation program that will support our business in the future. In this renewal, we are transforming our insurance business into a Guidewire Insurance Suite platform. Thanks to this transformation, in the future we are going to be able to handle insurance, billing & collections and claims all in one platform! This revolutionizes our insurance business by adding automation to our back-end processes and improving the customer experience and internal user experience – so it’s a win-win for everyone.
We are currently looking for a Lead Developer to be a part of this transformation. Joining our team, you will have an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of this development and witness something that has not yet been done elsewhere. We hope that you have strong, hands-on experience of software development, and a willingness to learn new things. You have strong experience in Guidewire and especially its Policy and Claim Centers. You are familiar with supporting development teams in their work. Transformation of this level is quite complex and there are a lot of stakeholders. You will be working closely with our Tech Lead, other Lead Developers, Business Developers, Solution Analysts and naturally the Developers in the overseas teams.
