Six months as a Kiitorata trainee have gone by really fast. During these months I have learned a lot, got valuable experiences, challenged myself and met awesome people! I feel that Kiitorata corresponds well to OP’s corporate culture: We work hard and passionately, but we can have fun, too.

My main duty as a digital marketing trainee was the targeted and general advertising at op.fi. I worked closely with all the Channel Managers for marketing, and helped in marketing of all businesses. During my traineeship period, my duties were diverse and I was given a lot of responsibility. In addition, my duties expanded as I acquired more competence, and I have been able to influence my job description in accordance with my areas of interest.

My marketing co-workers have a lot of expertise and I am inspired by many of them. In addition, help and advice are always at hand whenever necessary. Right from the start I got a thorough job induction. If I have been interested in matters similar to my duties, there has always been someone who have been pleased to induct me into them. Every Kiitorata trainee also has a personal OP mentor, and the mentor has been very helpful and supportive during these six months. My supervisor too has seen to it that I have enough to do and the right amount of responsibility. Although the other trainees represent other departments, I feel that they too have become part of my team. The peer support from other trainees has been invaluable, and they have also told me what has been going on in the other departments.

The most important lessons I learned in the Kiitorata programme were to give 100% of myself and my work effort, and to be interested in things and eager to learn new things. I believe this was one reason why I got the chance to continue at OP as a Channel Manager for marketing. My duties are similar but they will include more responsibility. I am also starting my Master’s studies this autumn, and I believe that my job and my studies support each other strongly. Kiitorata has given me a lot of practical experience that I can reflect on in my studies.

I would recommend Kiitorata to those who want to learn about the constantly dynamic financial industry and gain foothold in a versatile financial services company!
