OP’s Kiitorata trainee programme

Welcome to the leading financial services company in Finland! Kiitorata incorporates a six month trainee period (from 1 March to 31 August 2024) which offers talents in the early stages of their careers multiple development opportunities in challenging trainee jobs. All our trainees are offered an equal salary of EUR 3,000 per month.

Expert teammates will support you throughout your Kiitorata traineeship.

The Kiitorata trainee programme also includes various group activities which are intended to support your personal development. You can get to know other Kiitorata trainees, network within the company and learn more about the various business units of OP Financial Group. All the Kiitorata group activity events are held in English. 

The trainee journey begins with orientation

At the beginning of the trainee period we will define a clear job description and personal responsibilities and goals for all trainees. In addition to job-specific orientation we will provide orientation at group-level, this is intended to familiarise you with our work environment along with the operations of OP Financial Group as a whole.

Common activities speed up everyday life

In addition to our expert trainers, the Kiitorata community also includes supervisors, personal mentors and HR professionals. During the programme, we will get together to spar and catch up with others at our head office in Vallila. After the joint session, you will get to meet other Kiitorata trainees through various activities outside the office.

Your personal mentor as a sparring partner

Each Kiitorata trainee is supported by a personal mentor from OP. Mentors will help you advance your learning throughout the trainee programme by supporting your professional growth and further familiarising you with OP’s corporate culture.

Learn more about the Directors of OP

During the Kiitorata trainee period, you will get to know the directors of our business units as well as many other professionals with whom we will arrange meetings. The meetings will introduce you to the various functions of OP Financial Group and to topical themes in the sector, and you will get to hear our directors' own career stories and tips on career progression, for example.

Inspiration from corporate visits

The trainee programme will also include corporate visits, where you will get to learn more about the operations of other companies as well as hearing industry professionals’ views on current themes in working life. We have visited companies and organisations such as CGI as well as the National Bank of Finland, for example.
