We are now strengthening our Cloud Platform team with a Cloud Platform Trainee

As a Cloud Platform Trainee, you will become part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining OP Pohjola's public cloud platform. You will work closely with cloud specialists, architects, security professionals, and development teams to support the adoption and continuous improvement of cloud services.

During the trainee period, you will gain hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies and platform engineering practices. You will participate in developing cloud platform capabilities and practices. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to platform development initiatives that help accelerate software delivery and enable secure and scalable cloud solutions across OP Pohjola.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn how cloud platforms are built and operated in a large-scale enterprise environment while developing your technical skills in collaboration with experienced professionals.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Ongoing university or university of applied sciences studies in computer science, software engineering, information technology, data engineering, or a related field
• Interest in cloud technologies, software development, platform engineering, DevOps, or AI-enabled solutions
• Basic understanding of public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar
• Interest in automation, infrastructure as code, and modern development practices
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Good written and spoken English

We consider as an advantage:

• Experience with Azure services
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, or cloud-native technologies
• Personal projects, coursework, or other hands-on experience related to cloud platforms or software development

• The employment contract will be for the period from March 1 to August 31, 2027.

We operate in the financial sector and our business is founded on trust and accountability. In addition, the successful candidate must take a drug test and will be subject to a security clearance vetting by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service.
