Product Owner, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are looking for an experienced diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) leader who wants to make an impact in a new role to OP Financial Group. With your strong expertise, you will develop and promote our DEI practices and culture, influence and drive the importance of the topic and help grow our understanding and capabilities in the area. We want to be a modern, successful financial services provider that promotes the wellbeing of our customers and employees – now and in the future.

 

 

About the role


In this new role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the practices of OP Financial Group, Finland's largest financial group. Your main focus will be driving diversity and fostering an inclusive culture within our agile operating model, working closely with business leaders and other stakeholders. You'll collaborate with expert teams, extending your influence to the Senior Leadership and HR Executive teams. As the DEI expert, you'll define and implement innovative practices and report to the Leader of OP's Careers Tribe.


A key part of role will involve reviewing, evaluating, and optimizing OP's practices and people processes, such as resourcing, remuneration, and people development. The objective is to ensure these processes facilitate the positive development of diversity and equity within OP Financial Group. Furthermore, you will leverage data and insights to identify and highlight the substantial opportunities that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offer for the advancement of all our operations.


As a Product Owner, collaborating with our leadership and business units, you identify our DEI targets. You will closely cooperate with OP's ESG committee, representing the DEI perspective. Your role involves shaping the strategic objectives within your area of responsibility and defining the measurement of goals and activities. Additionally, you will lead efforts to update processes and transform practices that may hinder diversity initiatives.


You promote an inclusive culture and ways of working at OP Financial Group. You support communities in cultural change. You consult, guide, and bring together OP's DEI ambassador networks. Your tasks also include developing and directing internal and external DEI communication as well as strengthening diversity as a key value of OP as an employer.

Does this sound like you?

 

You have worked for a substantial amount of time promoting diversity, equity and inclusivity in a working community.  You have a strong, demonstratable track record on improving operating models and work performance. You have ideally worked on the development of ESG (environmental-, social responsibility and good governance) issues. Your background may be from a consulting space or from a centralized organization or even an expert team that influences a company's processes and operating model. You have designed and implemented general practices and ways of working, processes, and their monitoring methods. You have experience in change or project management and have influenced through professional relationship networks achieving measurable results.


Strong oral and written skills in Finnish and English will be needed. A suitable university degree that supports your success in the role. You know how to adapt your communication and interaction style to different situations and stakeholders.


You are persistent and you enjoy promoting and influencing through cooperation networks. You consider yourself a true DEI professional, you challenge and are happy to be challenged in good conversations with colleagues and stakeholders. You enjoy achieving & delivering tangible results as a team.
